Teaching experiences
I have held in total more than 250 hours lectures and exercises in the areas of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Mathematics, X-ray
crystallography and Structural Biology related topics.
- Supervision of practicals and oral examinations in Organic and General Chemistry for students of Medicine and Biology, Technische Universität München, Germany (1991-1995, 4 weeks each year).
- Lectures and exercises in X-ray crystallography for students in the 2nd year of Molecular Cell Biology, Södertörns Högskola (1999/ 2000, 7 hours lectures and exercises per year).
- Design and organisation of the advanced course in Structural Biology, Södertörns Högskola (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 10 weeks each, in total 155 hours lectures, seminars and exercises). This included setting up the course schedule, organizing and chairing all student seminars (article selection, supervision of the preparations for the seminar, discussion of the articles together with other involved teachers), organization of invited lectures, and the formulation of the final exam. I held the majority of lectures and classroom exercises in X-ray crystallography (In the year 2003 I held the complete section on X-ray crystallography). I designed and supervised with course assistants a four weeks practical project work including data collection, preliminary crystallographic analysis, structure solution and modelling in the year 1999 and organized and held computer and wet lab exercises in data collection and model building in the years 2000, 2001 and 2003.

- Postgraduate course "Introduction to Protein Structure Analysis by X-ray Crystallography". In the years 1999-2001 this course was combined with the advanced course in Structural Biology, described above (1999-2002, 56 hours lectures and exercises, 36 hours were shared with the advanced course in Structural Biology).
